But first a little progress report of my own…
On My Needles
I’ve worked my way through the gusset increases and heel flap and now up to knitting the leg of my toe up socks.
When trying on my socks, I noticed that there are large gaps in the increase stitches of the toes. I really didn’t want to rip out all my knitting and start again.
The wonderful people on Ravelry helped me with some suggestions on how I can fix this. It happened because my gauge is different to the recommended gauge. I knit looser so the gaps are magnified.
One suggestion from Schrouder Knits on Ravelry was to “take a crochet hook and more yarn which you hold on the inside of the toe. You’re going to slip st through the ladders to fill in the spaces, starting at one end and going up and over the toe and down the other side.”
That will be another technique to learn 🙂 Other than that, the socks are going well.
