As a child I used to love gathering flowers from my Grandmother’s garden.
I also remember making flowers from tissue paper and cellophane.
It was such fun curating this roundup, I adore flowers and hope you too will enjoy these flower crafts.
First up, my knitting progress…
On My Needles
This week I have progressed slowly with my Cable Sunburst Washcloth by Kendra Nitta for KnitPicks.
Thank goodness for other more knowledgeable knitters, who offer their knitting tutorials and guidance.
I was able to find a video on how to do 2/1 LPC and 2/1 RPC without a cable needle which was great!
I was enjoying this pattern but after some searching in local shops I was unable to find Double Pointed Needles.
The DPNs were necessary when it was no longer possible to keep the stitches on my circular needles.
Oh well, I ended up ripping the knitting I had done and started another pattern, the Welted Leaf Dishcloth by Faith Schmidt for KnitPicks which you can see below.
A very simple repeating pattern and I will finish it soon.

Norah Gaughan's Knitted Cable Sourcebook
Knitting the simple cables in the dishcloths I have created in these past months, have been fun to do.
One of my favorite Knitting Podcasts; Fruity Knitting did an interview with the Queen of Cables; Norah Gaughan.
You could spend many hours learning to knit different cables.
Norah Gaughan's Knitted Cable Sourcebook is on my wish list.
