But first up an update on my 2 at a time toe up sock adventure.
On My Needles
After a few goes at the Judy’s Magic cast on, the toe up sock pattern by Kate Atherley has been easy to do.
Knitting from the toe upwards uses a method new to me.
Kate uses the backward loop make one method. This involves making a loop with the yarn and then placing it on the needle.
It’s great to have another technique in my knitting repertoire.
The gusset increases used make one left, make one right. It looks like my make one left increases are quite loose. I should work on my tension when doing these!
The heel turn was different to the top down method. I learnt to create German short rows, luckily it was easier than I thought it would be!
Now I’m up to knitting the leg and then the cuff 🙂
