Fun Back To School Crafts

For this week’s Top 10 In Craft, it’s all about fun and educational back to school crafts to get kids excited about going back to school.

The quote I’ve chosen for Back To School Crafts spoke to me about knowledge and wonder, and how important they both are in education and learning.

Turn creative and handmade supplies to handy and fun crafts that will make school life easier. Kids are sure to love these, and have something they’ve made themselves to show their friends. 🙂

Soon many families will be experiencing back to school and to make it more fun, incorporate some fabulous craft!!

But first a little progress report of my own…

On My Needles

My current knitting challenge is knitting two socks at once using the magic loop method.

Last week I shared the yarn and needles I bought from Irika Knit Happens, a yarn shop in Cluj, Romania.

Kate Atherley’s course; Knit Socks Two At A Time! has clear instructions and the pattern that’s included makes sense so far.

Watching Kate’s video lessons are really helpful.

Sock knitting and the magic loop method are firsts for me!

It took me three attempts to cast on correctly and the beginning of the one by one rib. I had to keep reminding myself that I’m still learning and to be patient.

Once I got it all sorted, it was a feeling of accomplishment.!

I’ve knitted the cuff and started the stockinette for the leg.

This has been the easy part 🙂

Wish me luck for when I work the heel flaps and gussets!
